meeting

we are going to meet the kids saturday afternoon.

words to describe how i feel?

i don't know.

none maybe?

i am speechless.

yes me, who never lacks something to say.

i feel speechless.

anyone who has adopted want to share about their first meeting with their child/children?

anyone have any words of advice/wisdom to share?

this journey started two and a half years ago.

the time is finally here.

wow, it's really happening!

i'll let you know how it goes.

"many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
proverbs 19:21

The day I first met Peanut I was so nervous and kids read that. So our first few minutes were awkward, but then I found an ice-breaker and it made all the difference. So I'd suggest bringing some little things with you -- photos of you, the family, pets if you have them, and your home. Maybe a little toy that may have never seen before. Nothing elaborate, just something to break the ice.
